QCD in Charlotte, North Carolina looks forward to launching our Feeding Hunger: A “No Lunch” Lunch event on November 16, 2017 benefiting Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina. On November 15, 2017, the GSF Lexington, South Carolina Committee will host our Feeding Hunger: A “No Lunch” Lunch event, in partnership with Harvest Hope, a Feeding America affiliate that services 20 counties in South Carolina. With the support of the local community, we’ve developed an honorary committee that includes the State Superintendent of Education, Molly Spearman; Lexington Mayor, Steve MacDougall; Columbia Mayor, Steve Benjamin; and Cayce Mayor, Elise Partin. We’ve already received sponsorships, including a $10,000 Platinum Sponsorship from Ritchie McQueeney of Thermo King. The event will take place at The Hall at Senate’s End, and to date, we’ve raised $16,000 and are excited to watch that amount grow!

To help support our event, we’ve created an honorary committee, which includes City Manager of Arkansas City, Nick Hernandez; Arkansas City Schools Superintendent, Dr. Ron Ballard; Cowley County Engineers Office Manager, Secretary for Community Emergency Response Team, and the Secretary/Treasurer for Cowley County Emergency Auxiliary, Crystal Merz; GSF Foundation Co-Chair and KanPak Project Manager, Connie Shire; KanPak Kansas General Manager, Shane Solberg; and KanPak Kansas Plant Manager, Darren Blackburn.
