Through business contacts made by GSF-CID Senior Operations Manager, Lee Gragnano, members of the CID chapter of the Foundation were introduced to “Dream Street,” a Southern California foundation that provides a unique camp held each year in Ojai, Calif., where children and young adults with life threatening and chronic illnesses can have fun and receive support.

The CID chapter made its first donation to Dream Street in May of 2009 in the amount of $5,000. Dream Street received $20,000 in additional help from CID later that year, when CID held its second annual 100- Hole Golf Challenge. CID also donated $5,000 in November 2009, and followed up with an additional $5,000 in 2010.

This year when GSFF-CID planned its “Bowling Bash” fundraiser, Dream Street was the beneficiary of choice. Foundation bowlers netted just over $7,000 with this event. “We hope to continue this relationship we have created with Dream Street,” reports Lee. “After seeing their camp first hand, it’s easy to see that they do wonderful things for these critically ill children.”
