City of Bell Shoe Giveaway Helps First Graders “Put Their Best Foot Forward”

SF Foundation volunteers from CID and Irvine teamed up with City of Bell mayor, Ali Saleh, and local McDonald’s Owner/Operator, Bob Arciniaga, to distribute 160 pairs of shoes to kids in need at Corona Elementary School in the City of Bell on March 23, which proved to be a big event. Ronald McDonald was the special master of ceremonies much to the delight of the Corona first graders who received the shoes.

“Thank you for allowing our kids to put their ‘best foot forward’ going into the second grade,” said Theresa Lopez, Principle of Corona Elementary.

Mark Wetterau, GSF Chairman and CEO, and Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Foundation; Chuck Browne, GSF Foundation Executive Director; Joe Michel, CID Managing Director; Scott Thomas, GSF Vice President Distribution – West; Neil Cracknell, GSF Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer and Linda Ray, CID Senior Accounting and Payroll Clerk were in attendance.
