Families enjoy the carousel
The Third Annual Carousel of Possible Dreams was hosted at the Sanfilippo Estate in Barrington Hills on August 23rd, benefiting three deserving charities in Chicago. More than 200 guests including civic, business and philanthropic leaders were in attendance to ride the Eden Palais Carousel while working to better the lives of local children. To raise donations, each rider was tasked with a fundraising goal before being allowed off the carousel, using nothing more than their cell phones to raise donations. How long it took to complete the goal was up to the rider!
The event benefited three Chicagoland charities: Ronald McDonald House Charities, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and Little Angels. Stefan Holt of NBC5 Chicago emceed the event, while guests rode the extravagant French carousel, calling friends and colleagues to encourage donations until they reached their goal. In the end $208,000 was raised to help children across Chicagoland heal from illness.
