On March 30, 2017, the GSF Foundation volunteers at QCD Charlotte presented a $5,000 check to the Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina Executive Director Kay Carter. Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina provides a regional distribution warehouse and branches that supply food and grocery items to charitable agencies that assist people in need in 19 counties in North and South Carolina.
The GSF Foundation at QCD Charlotte will partnering with the Food Bank of Metrolina to host its First Annual Feeding Hunger: A “No Lunch” Lunch, a soup kitchen-style lunch raising awareness and funds for childhood hunger, on November 16, 2017.
“We look forward to a growing partnership with the Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina, and anticipate a successful event this fall,” said Pete Van Saun, chair of the GSF Foundation Charlotte committee.
