On Tuesday, September 20, the GSF Foundation (GSFF) marked its 20th Anniversary by encouraging its local teams throughout the U.S. to participate in a “Day of Service” to give back in the communities where associates live and work. Across GSFF’s nearly 30 U.S. locations, associates volunteered for various activities, such as packing hygiene kits to donate to youth in foster care and packing meals at community food banks.
“Giving back is so important to our associates, who have accomplished so much and will continue to accomplish much more through their wholehearted community involvement,” said McAnena. “As the GSF Foundation celebrates 20 years of positive impact on the lives of children and families in our communities all around the U.S., there’s no better time to commemorate our associates’ continued contributions and inspire their future involvement in the decades ahead!”
This week’s Day of Service activities will heighten the 1,500+ hours that associates have collectively volunteered so far this year and more than 285,000 hours total over the past two decades. During the Foundation’s 20th Anniversary year, associates are rising to the challenge to heighten their community service by volunteering 20 hours or more by the end of this year. Associates may log all of their 2022 volunteer time, whether it’s serving alongside fellow associates through GSFF activities or volunteering with family or friends to support local nonprofits and other community organizations.
